Qi Gong

Qi Gong is an ancient healing system from China. It consists of many forms, Martial, Medical, Buddhist
and Daoist.  At Hoüna, we focus on the Daoist & Buddhist systems mainly.

  • Qi means energy or Prana in Sanskrit, the primal life force that gives us life.
  • Gong means skill, the skill to move the Qi (energy) throughout our body to heal it or prevent it
    from disease.

Qi Gong consists of

  • Soft stretching exercises to release the tension in the body, open up the skeletal structure and
    lubricate the joints for better mobility.

  • Slow & soft moving exercises to calm the system, balancing both physical and emotional bodies at
    the same time.

  • Breathing exercises both standing & seated to energize the whole system, & open up the orbits.

  • Body Forms but easier then Tai Chi. To teach relaxation, rooting, moving in stillness &
    connecting with the energies of heaven and earth.
